I LOVE this nail combination I did the other day. Essie’s “Da Bush” is such a unique olivey green colour. It’s a twist on a nude, and I love how subdued and natural it looks on the nails. However… I needed to add the ring finger accent for a little excitement! I used my favourite glitter which is OPI’s “Spark De Triumphe” which is the perfect gold champagne sparkle! I love how this combination is appropriate both night and day!
Hello dolls! I had been dying to try out the “Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips” for the longest time, but only really liked the cheetah print ones, and I couldn’t find them anywhere! Finally last night Dara and I were doing our usual loitering around Shoppers Drug Mart at midnight and I found them! I was so eager to tried them that I did them this morning! They are so easy and satisfying to use! As long as you follow the instructions then you should have no worries. I thought it would’ve been a bit to much to do all my nails with the strips, so since we love the ring finger accent here at #polishproblems I went ahead and did just that! I used Mac’s “Vice is Nice” from last years holiday collection and I think they compliment each other nicely! I’m not usually a fan of Mac nail polish, I had to do about 4 coats to get the colour as I wanted it! I love how the cheetah turned out though! So unexpected and classy!
Essie’s “Borred & Blue” was one of my all time favourite summer colours! I had it on my toes throughout the entire summer! It’s such a twist on the basic pastel, I love it! I used OPI’s “Spare De Triomphe” from the Serena William’s duo? I don’t actually know where it’s from but it’s a gorgeous champagne sparkle! I love this combination and have gotten so many compliments my nails! ;) xo
In case you hadn’t already figured it out, here at #polishproblems we’re all about the ring finger accent nail! The colour i decided to adorn the tips of my fingers with this time around is Essie’s “Lady Like” from their fall 2011 Brand New Bag Collection. It’s a muted pink with grey and mauve undertones. It went on smoothly and two coats was perfect! I would definitely recommend Lady Like to anyone looking for a pink this fall. As for my accent nail, I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in “Strobelight”. I love how the two compliment each other and the sparkles add a little bit of party to my hands! Keep on painting, lacquer ladies! xox
I decided to spice my nails up a bit, see if it would brighten up my day. This is why I love nail polish. I may be feeling ick but DANG do my nails look good! Today I decided to try out a recent purchase of mine which was Essie’s “Mesmerized.” This colour was a bit difficult to work with but I like to think it turned out nicely. I put OPI’s “Teenage Dream” over each ring finger because… why the hell not! I love the combination, and I love having blue on my nails, it’s so fun!
Butter Nails “Old Blighty.” This is with two coats, but i could’ve definitely gone with a third coat. It’s a little streaky but i love the rustic feel of the red. This is my first Butter nail… considering they are 22$ here. However, I got mine on a recent trip to San Fransisco on sale for 8$ so i couldn’t resist! I really shouldn’t have because now i’m obsessed with them but they’re so expensive!! I have my eyes on “No Waity Katey,” a polish designed for Duchess Kate Middleton. The reason they’re so expensive is because their “3 free.” So theres no Formaldehyde, Toluene or DBP. No quite sure what all those are…. but they must be bad!
Essie’s “Splash of Grenadine.” The perfect pinky purple. This is after three coats. I love how this colour brightens up my fingers on these gloomy days. Its close to a bubble gum pink, but different… which makes me love it!
